Jack just wants to play dream linked VRMMOs with his friends without disconnecting from the servers every time he accidentally astrally projects.

The time stopping apocalypse terrorists in his city just want to summon an archdemon and unleash hell on earth.

Jack could have coexisted peacefully with the apocalypse terrorists. But they just had to kidnap his crush.

Now, Jack is gonna... I dunno, call the cops? Jack’s just a normal kid. He’s up against apocalypse terrorists!  He’s gonna get himself killed if he tries anything.

“Hey, astral kid. Want to be a demon hunter?”

...Maybe Jack has a shot.
